The following graph shows the overall performance of the NAS throughout all the tests we conducted using our custom-made software.



The DS214play achieved a high overall performance, registering significantly higher transfer speeds than the Asustor AS-302T equipped with the same CPU and gigabit Ethernet controller.

Performance Summary with Multiple Clients

As you can see from the above graph, the Intel Evansport CPU easily copes with multiple clients, even with all of them demanding huge volumes of data at the same time. The DS214play always offered steady peformance that will easily handle the needs of even demanding home users. Transfer speeds were high for a single Ethernet port NAS, peaking at around 107 MB/s with three clients and exceeding 100 MB/s with five clients.
