The TDBT SuperC enclosure is one of many options you have when it comes to external NVMe enclosures. With the standard now having been around long enough to have penetrated the market, where upgrading from a smaller drive is becoming more commonplace, it makes sense for one to use their older, but usually still quite fast NVMe M.2 SSD for portable storage.
The TDBT SuperC manages to impress with the simple yet solid build quality. The square design with its fins provides lots of surface area, while the secondary, interior heatsink still proves to be quite the necessity as well. Thanks to the activity LED, you will always know if your drive is being accessed, but I would have very much liked it in the front of the enclosure instead next to the connector on the rear. Another very nice aspect is the inclusion of two proper cables, which means you can use either USB-C or Type-A to connect the enclosure to your host computer. This is in my opinion better than the adapter some other enclosures ship with. Having extras of all the small parts as well as the thermal transfer pad will also allow users to upgrade their drive down the line, further adding to the lifespan and value of the TDBT SuperC.
At an MSRP of $35, the SuperC is already adequately priced, with many of the most basic options without all the nice little extras or build quality starting at the $20 mark. Considering you can find the unit for a bit less than MSRP, it is even more enticing. Coupled with a solid JMicron controller, the TDBT Super manages to perform the part as well!
