A Closer Look

The Team Group Night Hawk sticks are fairly tall, with labels on one side. The other side is devoid of labels, other than those directly printed onto the heatsinks themselves.

The label itself carries information on the speed, timings, and required voltage, along with a bunch of other things we need not care about.

My normal thing is to look at the end of the DIMMs themselves to see if there are any identifying markers here that might help those looking for sticks for overclocking, but I failed to find much of value there (which itself might be interesting to some). There was a "Team Group" printing on one side.

I really like how there are nice logos on either end, proudly proclaiming the brand and model of these mighty DIMMs.

The tops of the sticks (the edge you see when the sticks are installed) have some clear plastic in the middle, and in case you didn't notice by looking at the packaging, this is where the installed red LEDs glow through. The heatsinks are secured to the DIMMs with double-stick thermal tape and a couple of screws that sit at the corners of the heatsinks, meaning they are easily removed if you happen to want to, say, mount a waterblock. You also get a good idea of the metal content in these heatspreaders; these DIMMS are NOT light-weight. They have a good heft to them, which gives them a high quality feel.
