Pushing For Speed

With testing out of the way, I endeavored to see if these sticks had any headroom. After a lot of playing around, I found that they don't. On my 9900k/ Phantom Gaming 7 test setup I couldn't even get a single extra divider out of them, even at 1.5 V.

First, I would like to reiterate that your overclocking results will vary from kit to kit, and CPU IMC as well as motherboard and BIOS optimization also play a large role. I have very rarely gotten any kit above 4133 MHz with my 9900k sample, and it is not too surprising to me that it was not playing nice with this kit either.

There is also something to be said for a product that is specced to take advantage of its full potential out of the box. While overclocking is fun, and has over the years provided extra value for those with the skill to take advantage, it is still lost potential for many users who don't have the time or knowledge to take advantage.
