This is the second Tesoro gaming chair I have evaluated, and the Real Madrid gaming chair has a higher price tag even though the Alphaeon S2 features higher build quality and looks better, at least to my eyes. To cut to the chase, for the overall build quality and provided ergonomic features, the Alphaeon S2 is totally worth its asking price.
The PU leather is the main material used for covering the metal frame of the chair, but another textile touches the body. A company cannot go wrong when using a mesh material because it not only stretches and adapts to any body type, but also doesn't cause sweat-related issues. Tesoro used a type of mesh we hadn't come across before, though. The way the mesh is being embroidered makes it look very fancy, which makes it an immediate attention-grabber. Since the main color is black, the Alphaeon S2 also easily fits into every environment, including business-centric ones, of course. The chair's ergonomic functions operate as intended, and the build quality is high enough to ensure good durability as time goes on. If only the armrests were 4D instead of 3D. Finally, the five casters and the steel base keep the chair steady and have it roll only on demand.
The Alphaeon series consists of two distinct chairs designed for different user types, but with a dissimilar price tag. The S2 only comes with a black PU upholstery and the breathable mesh in the middle, while the S1 in black is only added to in two distinct, intense colors to better cater to gamers looking for a more jubilant visual aesthetic. If you are among the latter target audience, wait a little longer for our review of the S1 for the complete picture.
