To download the DPSApp, visit the product page on Thermaltake's site and input an email address and the PSU's serial number. You will not be unable to download the app without a proper serial number, which we thought of as pretty strange.

Contrary to the Corsair Link software, you won't be able to run the DPSApp as a standalone—it will not start if it doesn't detect a connection with the PSU.

The DPSApp allows you to record the PSU's up-time, check voltage and ampere readings of all rails but the 5VSB rail in real time, see the unit's DC output wattage and efficiency percentage, and monitor the fan's speed and the internal temperature of the PSU. You can even monitor how much the electricity consumed costs you by inputting your country's corresponding electricity fare.

The software supports five popular languages, though Chinese wasn't one of them! This group of options clearly allows us to glean electricity costs. It also allows you to reset your login details for Thermaltake's support forum, contact support, take a look at the product's manual, and perform a software update.

Whenever you use DPSApp, the whole session is recorded. The longest record being set at six hours, a new record is automatically created if a single recording of over six hours takes place. Each recorded session provides detailed information about all monitored functions, including output current, wattage, fan speed, internal temperature, efficiency, and the voltage values of all rails. The recording can be useful if you want to unearth your system's power consumption and the PSU's performance in various situations. We would, however, prefer it if we had control on when a recording starts or finishes. We really are nit-picky right now, but would also like to see the 5VSB rail included in these monitoring functions, which would increase overall cost since it would take extra circuitry and additional components.
