UE's many color and design options for the BOOM 2 are somewhat of a treat to customers who want something a bit different. The Reka One Lost Time Edition uses well-executed graphics on an equally well-executed device. The BOOM 2 is still top of the pack if your desire is a device that seeks to be good all around and highly portable.

All of the original pro's and con's of the BOOM 2 apply to the Reka One version. For a Reka One fan, it is probably a good buy since his artwork also costs a fair bit. The fabric used to cover the BOOM 2 is pretty smudge resistant for what it is, but the white color will always show dirt pretty fast, but that goes for all white devices.

Lots of time has passed since the launch of the original UE BOOM, but its performance is still right at the top and its feature set is incredible. The firmware updates not only add functionality, they also improve sound quality and EQ features. The great thing is that UE seems to keep up the pace and is still pushing updates for their devices.

The sound quality is still the thing you remember most when using a UE BOOM 2, even though Reka has dressed this one up nicely, and that is perhaps what is most impressive about it. You get a lot of sound and, most importantly, good bass for the size of the device!
