Verbatim Store'n'Go 1 TB USB 3.0 Review

A Closer Look

Since the surface of the black version is all shiny, it comes covered in a protective layer. The color versions of the drive have a different finish, and are thus more scratch resistant.

Taking a look at the top, the enclosure is identical in shape to that of the USB 2.0 variant we reviewed here. There is a white Verbatim logo on top, while the underside holds a sticker with all the usual information like model and serial numbers.

You will find a single connector on the drive. It is the new USB 3.0 plug, which is fairly flat and wide. As the new interface can supply enough power, there is no need for for a secondary supply. Even when using USB 2.0 a single connector seems to suffice - very convenient.

A blue activity LED has been embedded in the corner of the drive. This lights up quite nicely, so you should always be able to determine if data is being transfered between the drive and the host system.
