A Closer Look
The chair's color is mainly black, which is a color that fits in almost everywhere, and it is also a color you will almost never get tired of. An extra design-specific detail has been applied to the chair with the addition of blue stripes out of handcrafted calfskin leather on the backrest and sitting areas. These stripes have a smooth, luxurious texture to them, which makes for a pretty refined aesthetic.
While Vertagear attempts to earn its place among the top companies that produce gaming chairs, small details like the stitching at the backrest's front can still make a difference. We noticed a small imperfection with the top leather stripe's stitching, which kind of ruins the whole picture. It could only be our model, though, but was impossible for us not to notice and comment on.
There's more than one company logo to demonstrate that this is a chair by Vertagear; a black oval-shaped label with a silver border is on the rear of the backrest, with the company's name on it, while on the front, we have three engravings on the backrest. On the top leather stripe is Vertagear's logo, and the company's name makes another appearance on two more leather stripes on both sides.
The looks of the Triigger 275 aren't conclusive when it comes to whether it is an office or a gaming chair. Whatever the case may be, Vertagear decided to classify the Triigger 275 a gaming one, so we will go along with it.
The entire area you will get in touch with as you take a seat, sitting area and backrest, is covered with DuPont TPEE and PET, which means the mesh is capable of dealing with high temperatures and heavy stretching. We sat in our chair for several hours without sweating, thanks to the mesh. In addition, the elastomer in the DuPont TPEE and PET helps it keep its original shape, prolonging its lifespan while allowing it to easily adjust to any body type.
The sitting area has a width of up to 504 mm and its depth can be adjusted by pushing a button on the left side of the sitting area.
The chair's dimensions are quite flexible and easily adjustable. Its height can range from 988-1200 mm and the backrest is 57 mm tall and 445 mm wide. Considering we aren't tall (~1.63 m), we would like the chair's height to be a little more adjustable. We also find the missing headrest to be a bit odd for a gaming chair. Although it's mentioned as optional in the user's manual, a quick search on Vertagear's website only revealed the Triiger 350's headrest to be available for $69.99. Keep in mind the hours spent on a gaming chair - a headrest is always necessary. The Triigger 275 can endure a body weight of up to 150 kg, which is acceptable considering hardcore gamers are usually a little heavier. Finally, the chair's adjustability continues with its ability to swivel around 360 degrees.
