Modes of Operation

In order to better illustrate the seven modes of operation, we recorded the voltage on the vibrating motor's power input with a Tektronix Oscilloscope.

Mode 1: Low Intensity

This mode delivers a constant, low intensity vibration, which makes it ideal for getting into the mood. This mode's vibrations run at a constant 100 Hz.

Mode 2: Medium Intensity

The second mode just increases intensity, at the same 100 Hz.

Mode 3: High Intensity

The third mode uses the strongest intensity - the motor is now running at full tilt. Since the motor vibrates on its own, our oscilloscope couldn't pick up any control input.

Mode 4: Increasing Pulse

Here is where it starts to get interesting. This mode will send out pulses of increasing intensity at a steady frequency, which is good. After a few seconds, you will receive a long maximum intensity burst of vibration (the straight line in the right side of the graph) before the vibrator will again start with increasing pulses.

Mode 5: Pulses

This mode will run longer-spaced pulses which are each about half a second apart.

Mode 6: Short Pulses

Here, the frequency will increase by 30% over Mode 5.

Mode 7: 3+1 Pulses

Last but definitely not least is the vibrator's 3+1 Pulse mode that sends outs three quick pulses which are followed by a fourth strong and long one that runs the vibrator at its maximum speed for a second or so.
