Overclocking

With manual overclocking, maximum overclock of our sample is 1860 MHz on the memory (6% overclock), which is limited by the adjustment range in Wattman. I suspect the chips could go even higher, but for some reason, AMD chooses to artificially limit overclocking potential of their cards. GPU overclocking also maxed out the slider range.

Maximum stable overclock was 1820 MHz Boost, which increases average GPU clock from 1723 MHz to 1784 MHz (4% overclock).

Overclocked Performance

Using these clock frequencies, we ran a quick test of Unigine Heaven to evaluate the gains from overclocking.


Actual 3D performance gained from overclocking is 9.4%.
