Initial Setup

Android TV

The initial setup is similar to what you would see on most off-the-shelf Android TV based projectors or TVs. At first, you are informed on how to pair the remote, which the easily allows you to progress through the initial setup. This includes the ability to set up the device using your Android phone, which essentially automates the whole process including wireless setup and Google profile login.

After that aspect, you do get a few unique elements meant to make you familiar with the auto-focus feature of the device and the Horizon's keystone correction capabilities. Auto-focus overlays over whatever you are viewing instead of completely taking over what is visible which is a nice touch. After some manual tweaking of the keystone, the XGIMI Horizon is ready to be used.
