Subjective Audio Quality
Audio with the NEO 17 is actually very decent for a laptop. It begins with having speakers mounted on grommets, to eliminate unwanted chassis vibration. The drivers themselves are fairly large, and are angled slightly in the chassis, aiding in 3D positioning.
Those physical abilities are then bolstered by software, and this time around with the NEO 17 we see Nahimic by SteelSeries software present for audio processing duties, a personal favorite of mine. The interface is simple and intuitive, and making noticeable changes to the audio quality is quick and painless. I really like the ability to use the mic-in port as a secondary audio port, so you can share your audio with another headphone users, perhaps on a plane, for example. I keep getting amazed by the functionality and connectivity of the NEO 17.
