I test drive performance using CrystalDiskMark, with a fairly hefty data load on the drive. It only takes a few games these days to fill your main drive, making 512 GB drives a bit too small for high-end gaming laptops. My NEO 17 came fitted with a retail-branded Samsung 980 PRO drive, 1 TB in size. For the price I would have been more impressed if the drive was a 2 TB model. Performance is as expected from a 980 PRO drive, half full.
