Out of the box, the XPG Defender Pro looks well designed. All major panels are made out of steel, including the front cover, while the window comes with a clean, invisible mounting mechanism. If there is one thing that could have really made the white case stand out, it would have been that window being framed in white instead of the usual black.

Looking at the front, the design utilizes diamond-shaped openings, which are larger in the center. These act as air vents with a metal-mesh layer behind them. In the rear, the layout looks pretty traditional with the PSU bay at the bottom of the chassis.

The glass side panel is essentially clear, so you will see all your installed components nicely. Turning the XPG Defender Pro around, there is a solid steel panel on the opposite side of the case.

As it is held in place magnetically, you may easily pull off the front cover. Behind it, a removable mesh filter further protects the fans from dust and grime. The XPG Defender Pro ships with two pre-installed 120 mm fans here, but you may install a third one if you like. Alternatively, the front can fit three 140 mm fans instead. For those into liquid cooling, a radiator of up to 360 mm may be placed here instead as well. If you look closely, ARGB LED strips have been embedded into the top and bottom edges of the case, which is a nice touch.

In the rear, the PSU bay comes with two sets of mounting holes. Above that, you will find the seven horizontal and two vertical expansion slots with removable covers. In the very top is another 120 mm fan set to exhaust hot air out the back.

At the top of the chassis is an air vent that may hold either two 120 or 140 mm fans or a 240/280 mm radiator. The mounting holes are offset to ensure that such a setup won't collide with your motherboard. The XPG Defender Pro comes with two USB 3.0 ports and the usual audio plugs. The built-in ARGB controller comes with a physical button, so you may easily set the "mood" inside your system.

Taking a quick peek underneath the case, there is a white dust filter that may easily be pulled out from behind for cleaning purposes. Interesting to see is that XPG went that extra step to offer white dust filters for places you won't actually see in everyday use.
