Fan Noise and Thermals (Subjective)

Key temperatures under high load were decent for the power the Xenia 15 KC has under its hood. I would have been worried if we didn't see some heat soak through the magnesium chassis, but the hottest parts are thankfully not under the fingertips. This laptop doesn't actually get that loud comparatively speaking, but definitely isn't completely silent, either. A lot of air flows through the chassis, and this is another laptop that lets you feel that airflow through the keys.

Subjective Audio Quality

The Xenia 15 KC features stellar audio properties. Intel and XPG didn't mess around with the audio and made sure this laptop sounds good. They could have left the metal of the rest of the chassis over the speaker, yet opted for plastic instead probably in tuning the audio.

Combining the Two

During normal desktop and web use, I find myself with very low volume, 16-20% thanks to the complete absence of sound coming from the Xenia 15 KC. During full load, I might go as high as 60%, but that's only when benchmarking mode is enabled and the fans are running full tilt.
