The Xtrfy M4 did amazingly well in my testing. As a medium-sized, right-handed ergonomic mouse, the M4 is well-suited for palm, claw, and fingertip grippers alike. In terms of features, the M4 is well-equipped: The sensor, PixArt's PMW3389, performed flawlessly in my testing. The lack of any smoothing whatsoever is particularly note and praiseworthy. The clicks provide snappy and tactile feedback while having very low latency, which is great. Notably, the M4 has one of the best scroll wheels on any mouse I've gotten my hands on so far. The combination of a low weight, a cable of above average flexibility, and a grippy coating makes the M4 handle very well. Despite its lightweight construction, the M4 is built quite sturdily (more sturdily than some other hole-free mice). In terms of glide, the M4 comes with excellent stock feet, and Xtrfy was nice enough to include a replacement set in the box too. RGB lighting is done tastefully and without adding too much unnecessary weight. Lastly, the ability to adjust the polling rate directly on the mouse is a welcome feature as well.

That having been said, the Xtrfy M4 isn't perfect. Some of the buttons could do with a little less travel (side buttons in particular), and the cable could be even more flexible. Furthermore, due to the lack of software, there is no way to simply remap buttons or create macros, and functions like LOD adjustment, which the 3389 would be fully capable of, aren't available either.

I do not consider any of these points to be major drawbacks though, which is why I'm quite happy to award the Xtrfy M4 the Editor's Choice award.
