This mouse mat has a lot of things going for it. The stitched edges is definitely a welcome feature durability wise. Depending on how you hold your mouse, the stitching might have somewhat of an impact on comfort, but during our tests it did not pose an issue.
This mat is huge, measuring in at a whooping 44 x 38 cm which will take up a considerable amount of desk space. For all the low sensitivity gamers out there this is a necessity, but for medium sensitivity gamers it is too big.
Zowie claim that the surface is just as fast as that of a plastic mat, which is far from the truth. However, it is clearly ahead of the high-end cloth mats we recently tested by a fair margin. It feels more precise on gentle moves and the friction is definitely lower than on its main competitors.
Price wise this mat is over the top, at €24.90 this mat is for the gamer who will spare no expense to get his or her hands on one of the best cloth mats to date. The better durability makes up some of the price gap but it is twice as expensive as a SteelSeries QcK+.
