Introduction

EVGA is known best as a primary AIC partner of NVIDIA with a warranty policy that does not void if end users watercool their GPUs. In fact, EVGA actively encourages it by selling add-on watercoolers, including an AIO hybrid cooling solution and a full cover waterblock under their Hydro Copper line. They worked with Swiftech for a while before moving on with EKWB and now have someone else entirely who makes their GPU waterblocks. Today, we take a look at the first product from this new, unnamed OEM - the Hydro Copper GTX 1080. Thanks a lot to EVGA for providing the review sample.


As mentioned above, the Hydro Copper GTX 1080 is a full cover block in that it covers and cools the GPU core, VRAM, and VRMs. The design does not appear to have changed from when EK made these, with a monochrome color scheme, an EVGA cutout in the front aluminum fascia, a long six-port manifold, and integrated lighting.
