The Kingston NV3 will be a solid-state drive in the M.2 2280 form factor, that is expected to launch in 2025. It is only available in the 1 TB capacity listed on this page. With the rest of the system, the Kingston NV3 interfaces using a PCI-Express 4.0 x4 connection. The SSD controller is the PS5027-E27T from Phison, a DRAM cache is not available. Kingston has installed 232-layer TLC NAND flash on the NV3, the flash chips are made by Micron. Please note that this SSD is sold in multiple variants with different NAND flash or controller, which could affect performance, the "Notes" section at the end of this page has more info. To improve write speeds, a pseudo-SLC cache is used, so bursts of incoming writes are absorbed more quickly. Thanks to support for the fast PCI-Express 4.0 interface, performance is excellent. The NV3 is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 6,000 MB/s and 4,000 MB/s write.
We have no information regarding the price at release. The warranty length is set to three years, which is above average, but shorter than the five years offered by many other vendors. Kingston guarantees an endurance rating of 320 TBW, a relatively low value compared to other SSDs. New information will be added to this page as soon as it becomes available.
