The SanDisk X110 was a solid-state drive in the 2.5" form factor, launched on January 7th, 2013, that is no longer in production. It was available in capacities ranging from 64 GB to 256 GB. This page reports specifications for the 64 GB variant. With the rest of the system, the SanDisk X110 interfaces using a SATA 6 Gbps connection. The SSD controller is the 88SS9175 Van Gogh Lite from Marvell, a DRAM cache chip is available. SanDisk has installed MLC NAND flash on the X110, the flash chips are made by SanDisk. To improve write speeds, a pseudo-SLC cache is used, so bursts of incoming writes are absorbed more quickly. The X110 is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 505 MB/s and 405 MB/s write; random IO reaches 81K IOPS for read and 44K for writes.
The SSD's price at launch is unknown. The warranty length is set to five years, which is an excellent warranty period. SanDisk guarantees an endurance rating of 80 TBW, a good value.
