Any pricing details? I'm guessing 1300-1600?

Should be a killer notebook if it can stay cool. I would like to know the cooling methods on this one.

Will it melt first or the battery catch fire, place your bets lol

Nice to see the technology make it to laptops, but the TDP for a laptop is high IMO, also, if any of these I7's ship with integrated intel graphics then your paying big money for something that will be handicapped in a lot of areas (games, hd decode, etc)

I wonder how long this would last on a battery anyway...hmmm

Absolutely no i7's w/IGP!!!!! BAD IGP!!! BAD!

I'm sure Asus markets these as Desktop replacements and notes the battery life of an hour, let me know if you get that though cause I'm sure it's marketed up.

Good of them to take such well-angled pics. Note how the laptop is about twice as thick right where the HSF assembly comes into play. And do they even have a battery installed in that thing? Six cells won't take an i7 very far, but any more than that puts you in "double stuff" territory.

Once again, I'd stick with a Core 2 Duo. This isn't about AMD so much as it is about pushing impractical, high-margin products on a market which doesn't need and doesn't want them.

Core i7 and 11000 3dmark06. I managed that score with a AMD 5000+ BE at 3.2ghz and a single 3870....
