Scythe Intros Kama Stay - Extra Cooling Solution Utilizing a Single Expansion Slot
Scythe presents the new product, Kama Stay (Model Nr.: SCKST-1000). A simple very flexible product for mounting additional fans into an unused PCI Slot. The set also includes a manually regulated 120 mm Slip Stream Slim fan. Kama Stay is a highly-adjustable cooling platform that can be mounted onto an unused PCI Slot. Improved stability is granted by screwing the frame to a case like a common PCI expansion card. Once installed, Kama Stay allows you to mount all kinds of fans in many different positions. Even 140 mm fans can be used with this new accessory. Due to its high flexibility, Kama Stay helps you to adapt and improve the existing Airflow in your PC case.
Keeping your system cool is not the only task Kama Stay can handle. Optionally, you can also mount up to three 2.5" HDDs or SSDs. Just set the frame to the matching height and fix the drives with screws. Supplied 120 mm Slip Stream Slim fan works in an operating-speed range of 800 to 2,000 rpm. The fan speed can be controlled by using the pre-attached potentiometer located in the PCI bracket. Scythe Kama Stay is now available for EUR 12.25 (MSRP, excl. VAT) or US$ 19.00 (MSRP, excl. TAX.)Product Details

More seriously though, I can tell you right now I would not want my HDD/SDDs floating so close to my heat radiator I call a video card. :(
I have the cosmos S that already has 3 twelve inch fans on the roof... so i wont need this...
i guess only neccessary if your case already has bad airflow... and in that situation wouldnt you just be pushing warm air upwards into the roof with no where to go?... (eg circulating around the cpu area and screwing up the natural venting out the rear 12" fan?)
I have to say pass on this for most cases, unless you have a case that has no HDD rack. Hum, what about that a case with no HDD/DVD rack, could be an interesting concept to keeping a MATX system. Allthough this would probably not be the best alternative for that since Height would probably be a factor.
Always like extra places to put HDDs and what not.
I'm also wondering how well that frame is going to bear the weight of multiple drives, as it already looks like it may not be rigid enough...
It's a good idea, I actually have 2 fans blowing air to the upper part of the gpu but stuck with tape. This could be handful for me. And to put more hdds on my minipc, it hasn't more room to put more.
