This product is specificall for a Desktop.
A desktop machine sits on a Desk.
A desk has Drawers.
Drawers provide optimal storage space and thus eliminate the need for a product like this.
also, stuffing things inside one of these you would most likely hear rattling and vibrating.
For me, the usefullness would be swapping out frequently used CD's and DVD's - that's about it. A nice idea.
This is something I'd be very interested in, considering I don't have anything else to do with my 5.25" bays.
almost anyone can build funiture - this is highschool Design Technology grade stuff
The one thing we can all agree on, this is a much better idea than the 3.5" Cup holder for desktops. That was just stupid.
Not everyone lives in a house with a dedicated PC room, most people i know have to keep all their stuff in their bedroom (uni students) - so having a little dedicated area to stick their OS disk, flash drives, and a screwdriver where it cant get lost is a great idea.
as said tho, they really, really do need a lock...
I don't care for the lock. :)
