Seagate Releases the First-ever 750GB External Hard Drive
Seagate Technology, the world's number one hard drive maker, today introduced the world's first three-quarter Terabyte external hard drive - the Seagate 750GB Pushbutton Back-up Hard Drive. The 750GB Pushbutton Back-up Hard Drive is the first 3.5-inch external drive to use Seagate's revolutionary perpendicular recording technology. It is based on the newly announced Barracuda 7200.10 family, with industry-leading data density of up to 188 Gigabytes per disc. The Seagate 750GB Pushbutton Back-up Hard Drive includes easy-to-use backup software that protects your system and data files with a simple touch of a button on the drive. The Pushbutton Back-up Hard Drive also includes USB 2.0 and Firewire 1394 connections. The Seagate 750GB Pushbutton Back-up Hard Drive will be available May 2006 and will retail for $559.
