Arctic Cooling has HD 5970 cooler ready, working on Fermi
Arctic Cooling has a long history of making excellent aftermarket coolers for AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards. Their latest innovation is the triple slot Accelero Xtreme 5970 which supports AMD's dual-GPU HD 5970 cards. Sapphire has chosen to use this very cooling solution for their HD 5970 OC 4 GB flagship, of course the cooler will be available in retail as well. What we also hear is that Arctic Cooling is almost finished with their product design for a GeForce GTX 480 (Fermi) cooler that is quieter and cools better than the NVIDIA reference design heatsink. Based on NVIDIA's expected launch schedule (end of March), the Accelero Xtreme for GTX 480 might be available in volume around the same time you will see NVIDIA's new card come to store shelves near you.

It'll be great and much simpler for Arctic Cooling with fewer and simpler heatsinks needed for rest of the card.
I have a feeling that Accelero Xtreme GTX 480 will fit HD5870 too. edit: forgot about the high DVI slots.
All they're coolers are designed to perform better then stock in all ways, including sound levels.

Wonder if they'll make Fermi version with different VRM sink set and leave the DVI slot hole be. I'd do that to save some money :)
