1GB on cards is nice if you ask me, i just think releasing another gt210 is kinda silly, when sparkle already has what 2 other gt210, how many gt210 of the same specs do we need ?

1GB on some cards is nice, cards this low on the performance scale will never even touch that amount of memory.

In that case you might as well grab a GT220 that might actually be cheaper. :shadedshu

And the idiocy goes on... instead releasing DX11 low end parts (hell, if they can't run the games, they are at least useful for CUDA). But no, a 53 milionth version of G80 rebatch of a reheated rebrand. C'mon, stop this idiocy, will ya?

Yes, because it is so horrible to release cards based on entirely new GPUs that just came out 5 months ago. Why aren't you over trolling on every announcement of an ATi card based on their GPUs released 5 months ago(AKA every new HD5870/5850/5770/5760/etc.)?

What do you know, there were two announcements(one from Sapphire and one from MSI) just today for new HD5800 series cards, where were you in those threads? I mean after all, the GT216/GT218 are technically newer GPUs than Cypress...

Man, I can't believe ATi is milking Cypress...the idiocy goes on...

Not every one is a gamer and not every one Needs DX11 as DX9 and DX10 are still the dominant norm .
But what gets me is your disdain on nVidia why all the harsh talk ? Trolling maybe ?
I think it is a good move for nVidia to make some extra cash . nothing wrong with that ..

Indeed, especially since these GPUs were nVidia's 40nm test GPUs, similar to the HD4770. Of course ATi was planning to use that GPU in more cards than the HD4770, but due to the issues with their rush to 40nm, they couldn't, and the put themselve in their own naming debacle.

You got it right . They RUSH every thing just to be on top . But in the end the 4870 started off with 512MB's of ram then what did they do ????? Just months AFTER they added 1 GB ( this so they could catch up to the GTX 260 and it FAILED !! ) And you ( RejZoR ) come on ranting about the idiocy of nVidia ? go home troller !

I was actually pretty happy to just sit back and have the same cards out for a while...it was a nice breather.

If you look at it from a marketting stand point, yes, but only if you look at it from a marketting stand point.

Really, it doesn't make any sense to release low to mid range DX11 cards, as they won't be able to actually run anything in DX11...

It is just like the early onset of DX10, we will and are seeing a bunch of low to mid range cards that technically support it, but will never actually be able to run it with playable framerates. IMO, that is just stupid.

This card is intended for people who like big number and know nothing about computers. For them 210 with 1GB is clearly better choice than any other 512MB card.

What a good twist of fate.
Technically Dec 13th (Juniper's launch day) is newer than Dec 12th (GT218/216's Launch Date) :p
So no the "(AKA every new 5770/5760/etc.)" is just plain trolling, neither are even close to 5 months old.

Isn't the GTX 260 suppose to have 192SPs at launch?
Guess which side did a ninja change in spec to actually catch up :slap:

Actually the RV740 is also used in the HD 4750 ;)

Funny enough that this thread is suppose to be about Sparkle releasing another pointless card and turns into troll wars.
What an effective solution, counter trolling with more trolling. :shadedshu

Not really trolling, as it isn't blatent bashing the company, or really bashing the company at all like your comments. I messed up a minor detail, but everything else I said was accurate about Cypress, I forgot that they were not launched at the same time. My comments were to correct your horrid mis-information, as opposed to your comments which were essentially totally wrong information wise, with the sole intention of bashing nVidia and getting a rise out of people.

Actually it was 192 SPs at launch, no supposed to at all. And they didn't really do a ninja change in specs to catch up, since they did it before HD4870 1GB was released...you can't catch up if you are already ahead. There isn't really anything wrong with either move, both sides constantly update and change their line-ups to remain competitive.

True, but it was so obscure you can't even find it on ATi's own charts...then again so were the HD 4730 and HD 4790 which were both RV770/790 based...if that makes any sense.

And correcting blatent mis-information is hardly trolling.
