Steelpad releases new massive mouse pad for gamers
SteelSeries has just introduced a new mouse pad with a thickness of 6mm called "SteelPad QcK heavy". It has the same massive dimensions as the SteelPad QcK+ (Our review here), but is 6mm thick. The heavy thickness of the mouse pad eliminates problems from uneven surfaces, making the mouse pad suitable for gaming at LAN-events and other which often provide battered, tilted or second-hand tables. The mouse pad was developed with Team 3D, the first Counter-Strike team ever to hold world championships in both Counter-Strike 1.6 & Counter-Strike: Source as well as the russian player mouz|cooller who is considered one of the best allround Quake-players in the world.

a lot of gaming later, mine's still in perfect conidition :D they're cirtainly very well mad pads.
Go Steelpad!!
BTW, i do use a high precision mouse with high sensetivity (1600dpi), but this thing still comes in useful in battlefield 2. Especially in Tanks for example, where you need to move the mouse quite a lot to get a full rotation of the turret.
I don't mean to sound like a salesman, and the point of it's size can be a problem for some, but just because it doesn't suit you doesn't make it useless ;)
(Read my review www.techpowerup.com/reviews/SteelSeries/QcK/ :p)
On topic: I've got used to not using a mouse pad most of the time because my logitech works really well on my desk. I guess that is a smooth and flat surface though, although I might go and get my mouse pad and see if I feel like going back to it actually. Wouldn't get one of these though I don't think.
