AeroCool Introduces Shark Series 15-blade Fans

Late last week, AeroCool released the Shark series 15-blade fans for use in PC cases, coolers and radiators. These fans make use of no less than 15 fan blades which have its design inspired from shark fins. These fans are available in 120 mm and 140 mm sizes, and in opaque black, and illuminated blue, Devil Red (red), and Evil Black (rust) colors.

The 15 blade design ensures high air flow at moderate speeds. The design is also enhanced by the fluid dynamic bearing which increases life-span. Rotating at speeds of up to 1500 rpm, the fans push 82.6 CFM (120mm) or 96.5 CFM (140mm) of air, with maximum noise outputs of 26.5 and 29.6 dBA, respectively. Two speed modes, a "power mode" (12 V) and a "silence mode" can be selected using the bundled voltage reduction cables. Each fan also bundles four steel and rubber screws. Said to reach stores in September, AeroCool's new fans go for 12.90 Euros for the 120 mm size, and 15.90 Euros for the 140 mm size.

How about a low key, non "oh lets have a rave in my case" variant?

Then you are making a suggestion to the wrong manufacturer. ;)

Inspired by sharks? Since when do sharks fly?

And those blades look flimsy to me.

Sounds like it moves decent air and low noise levels. I agree, the rave deal isn't nice. I like Thermalsrights new Black Teal colored fan.

Had some Areocool Turbines once and the quality sucked, they felt cheap and flimsy, never again.

Sticking with Noiseblocker seems like a good idea to me. Scythe is ok as far as i can tell about their slim fans. But their small fans (Mini Kaze) are absolute rubbish. Had 3, replaced 2 and they all started ratling after few days. Reason, air bubble under sticker on a motor, caused the fan to rattle when squashed. Wtf. Never again. So, slim ones ok, though they also have that crappy air bubble under the sticker. Noiseblocker is just perfection. More expensive, but they are really silent and made out of really quality materials.

Which ones?

These Aerocool use and I quote:

If it's the Noiseblockers, I'm currently using the Blacksilent edition fans. They use, what noiseblocker calls, "Long life Sleeve bearing". It must be fluid dynamic bearing as well, since it's supposed to last long as be as quiet as possible. The fans are quiet.
