i wonder how it works on mid or high end card
In all honesty, the 4870 was probably much more power-hungry, but passive solutions on high end stuff is just not achievable these days. I mean sure, if you live in Norway and you frequently watch the northern lights, then it's probably ok, but in the torrid cities that some of us inhabit, it's simply an extra fire hazard. You or Powercolor's marketing dep misspelled "quiet". :)
htpc usage is an exception.
Other wise the heat from it would not be able to build up in one spot like that.
