AMD Rushes Out Catalyst Rage Performance Driver
AMD introduced a special BETA Catalyst driver for AMD Radeon graphics processors, that improves performance on the latest title from FPS pioneer id Software, Rage. Bluntly called the "Catalyst Rage Performance Driver", this driver has been rushed in by AMD to address performance issues. It provides "signifacant performance gains" for Rage in both single GPU and CrossFire configurations. The improvements are effective only on Radeon HD 5000 series and Radeon HD 6000 series graphics processors, and is available only for Windows 7.DOWNLOAD: AMD Catalyst Rage Performance Driver for Windows 7

Latest AMD Rage hotfix drivers (that work) for DL: www2.ati.com/Drivers/hotfix/a...nce_driver.exe
I tested them myself, and performance is good now, no more flickering or glitchy rendering
*These also work fine with BF3 Beta. No CAP install needed.
the new amd drivers are awesome no problems and a 100 point increase in 3dmark 11 score to boot dont know what all the complaining is about i think most people just dont know how to use there computer its not hard hell i didnt even uninstall the old drivers and it still works sweet have run both the battlefield 3 driver and the preview all working sweet However My Hardware is up to the Task HD 6970 and a 1090t with 8 gig ram
Sry dude that you presumed I am attacking you or anyone here.
I will adjust my writing / language translations to a more USA language.
I was just pointing out the obvious issues they have everyday and giving the driver developer a compliment or "British style compliment" . Seems you are in UK so you should know about British compliments.
Quality was bad and some drivers did not work, think the 5000 series had major issues for a long time as did SLI / Xfire, xfire still has problems. Some issues have improved.
Amazing that they are actually doing something about the drivers for specific games, that is something unheard of just 1+years ago.
Kids and testing, here I have no clue if you know how to work with drivers so no it is not against you but there is a lot of clowns reporting issues on false positives.
Same for AMD and NVidia in house testing it was bad and improving but still not there yet.
Either way lots of talk, the fact remains we all should be glad that our complaining yesterday has done this and is helping All pc users today. Otherwise we would still be waiting for fully functional driver.
Driver:
1. Working = works on some hardware not great but works / get the screen to show something and some game issues = bronze drivers.
2. Fully functional = works on all hardware less than 15% game issues = silver drivers.
3. Excellent drivers = works on all hardware / gold standard / has less than 1% issues in any games / beta games.
4. Perfect drivers = platinum drivers, no issues, nearly no faults / no bugs and works on anything including Linux and OSX.
O and complain, when you want to create 15000 jobs in the USA and same in UK and told my blond hair / skin color is incorrect or the country you are born in even though your direct family is USA and UK born citizen then you can complain like I do and not pay $120m tax per year on 1 small standing order. I will not mention the other crap that is said on a daily basis.
When you get there give me a call. :rockout:
Multi-Gpu platforms will always have its fair share of problems, and with time they will improve. but i agree there is a lot more problems with multi-gpu setups, And some games just dont like crossfire or SLi too much.
Is it wrong for people to say they have problems with drivers??? Because its every bit as wrong just to lable them as kids that dont know how to install/reinstall drivers.
I still have no idea what you are on about.
