AMD Releases Off-branch Adrenalin 24.10.37.10 Drivers for Space Marine 2
AMD on Friday released an off-branch Preview driver that should interest those playing Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 this weekend. The Adrenalin 24.10.37.10 Preview Driver fixes intermittent driver timeout bugs facing the game during gameplay. The drivers also fix overly dark shadows or desaturated colors in "Black Myth: Wukong" when the Global Illumination setting is medium or higher. But these aren't the main payload of this driver release, it has to do with extending AMD Anti Lag 2 Vulkan API support for Counter-Strike 2. The technology works to reduce whole-system latency during gameplay, which should improve your responsiveness in online multiplayer gameplay.

- AMD Radeon Anti-Lag 2 Vulkan Support for Counter-Strike 2
- AMD Radeon Anti-Lag 2 now supports the Vulkan API, offering additional responsive gaming options. AMD Radeon Anti-Lag 2 introduces an in-game option to optimally pace frames, further reducing input lag on AMD RDNA architecture-based graphics products.
- Users looking for a way to measure response time can use our Frame Latency Meter (FLM) or the built-in latency monitor in AMD Radeon Anti-Lag 2.
- Use the ALT+SHIFT+L hotkey to enable the Radeon Anti-Lag 2 Latency Monitor. Once activated, a small white chevron will appear in the top left corner of your display indicating that it is enabled.
- Use ALT+SHIFT+L again to cycle through the following Latency Monitor display options: No metrics, FPS only, FPS and latency (in ms), FPS and latency (in ms and frames), FPS and latency (in ms and frames) with a legend.
- Users looking for a way to measure response time can use our Frame Latency Meter (FLM) or the built-in latency monitor in AMD Radeon Anti-Lag 2.
- To compare the difference between Anti-Lag 2 On and Anti-Lag Off, hold the right CTRL key.

can't they just release these drivers over the radeon software as "optional"?
it was necessary for me to download two of them just to be able to play a game without non stop crashing before it reached the menu...
EDIT
Played Warhammer 40.000 Space Marine 2 for about 6 hours so far. I have had 1 driver timeout and no crashes. Playing in 4k with no upscaling.
Mostly any other software is able to use a proper version number. I just want to see instantly if a AMD GPU windows driver is newer, as the version i have already installed.
i want these hotfix drivers officially released to everyone because it fixes critical bugs (the last one made the difference between black myth wukong being fully playable to the credits and crashing while launching.)
i don't want to search for a random "hotfix" in the release notes. i want these drivers to be release ASAP.
That being said, while you are correct, your communication could improve if you wish to be properly understood. From the way you wrote everything I (and probably others evidently) got the impression that you are complaining about something that was just fixed and about a very minor personal inconvenience. Yet I believe you're actually complaining about the principle itself, about doing things the right way and also complaining because the fix will not arrive to thousands of people who will not even know about the preview drivers and will thus be experiencing major issues. It would be really helpful if you were to express your full mental processes to others.

Every 3 to 6 months AMD will branch out a new software version and iterate on that. Ever wonder why some drivers are particularly reliable, usually in a 3 to 4 month window, then bam the next one could be a total lemon on your setup? That is why. When the major version changes, it usually means large amounts of changes to critical components of the driver.
The pre-RDNA release has been on 23.19 series for over a year now. That release is being developed separately as a stable, older code base targeting Polaris and Vega, with fixes for Ryzen APUs still being developed. Despite carrying the same "Adrenalin 24.x.1" name, under the hood it is a different code base.
They may hear you and change.
