Loyal PC Call of Duty Gamers: No CoD Elite For You?
Just over a week ago, we brought you frustrating news that the brand new Call of Duty Elite social network was going to be delayed for the PC, once again leaving the PC gaming crowd feeling like second class citizens compared to their console counterparts. Now, in a bitter blow, it appears that the Elite service may shut out loyal PC gamers altogether. Plus, as is typical of big companies, the message was delivered in the most terse and disrespectful way possible, via a short Twitter tweet:
@thejuggz We are working towards a universal Elite experience but we cannot guarantee if or when a version will be available for the PC.So, that's it then, PC gamers may never get it and there's no explanation why. One can only surmise that it's due to the alleged "security issues" previously alluded to. Therefore, hopefuls will just have to wait on tenterhooks for an undefined period of time. So, the biggest sales launch in history isn't enough to convince the company to support the PC platform? It looks like detractors of the Call of Duty franchise have a very legitimate axe to grind this time, doesn't it? Probably the best way to view this unfortunate news is that the benefits weren't worth it anyway.

Still think this is insane that they want you to subscribe to a FPS. Social networking? LMAO, you play to kill people! Everytime I've played, or seen a friend play CoD online, most of the players are ones I would consider sub human. Ones that think their voice is their virtual wee wee because they have a mic. People want to make friends with that?
Just to meet good practices in reporting.
BTW why pay to play cod when you can play BF3 for FREE!?!!
Also whats with that ugly ass MW3 Elite logo? Is that official?
Like shiii twitter hahhaha maybe a employer is having some fun seeing what people act like and like always same shit. Not as if we need more of COD anyways hell SP only lasts like 3 hours lol..
The last 4 games should of been one game LMAO.
Loyal?
The days of decent FPS like UT Quake and CS 1.6 are all but gone.
I mean yea, in general it was shit but once you get to the likes of PAM4 or Promod... it was just a whole other level of competitive FPS
I understand your point, but with a COD game, especially with the last ones which seem like endless rehashed hollywood blockbusters, I'll gladly pass.
I must have put more then 1000hrs into CoD:United Offensive. I was in total love with that game and i cried when i was dragged off it my a friend to go play BF2.
Some games you wish could last forever you know?

Now about this MW3 Elite Malarky.
I did say in a previous post that i wouldnt be suprised if they never release it for PC - and here we are... suprise suprise.
Even though they are saying they are trying to make it work. I wouldnt hold my breath.
Its not as if they will go hungry or have to remorgage their 2 million dollar mansions because they couldnt con a small percentage of the market - aka the 'PC gamers' to buy into their CoD Elite scheme.
if this had been a few years back with Mw1, Id go away feeling really butthurt and shafted about it. but I just really dont care tbh. I dont see any CoD titles as worth buying unless its the older ones like CoD1, 2, MW or W@W
Yes, that fugly logo is real. I couldn't believe it either. :p
And to all those that wonder why I used the word "loyal". It's not hard to see. I'm talking about those masses of PC gamers that have bought every iteration of the game going and in particular, did their bit for the $400M Activision made in sales on MW3. Those loyal customers. Way to go Activision. :slap:
The rest of the shelf was for PS3&360 versions.
In fact when Me and a friend queued for the midnight release of MW2, me and my friend were probably the only 2 guys in the queue that walked out of the shop with a PC copy.
they only had 1 shelf for the PC copies. the entire shop was for console lol. I would think its gotten worse since then
Sure, but it's still a lot of players overall and they have contributed to those fat profits.
Anyway, take a look at the front page, as there's an update...

Dont get me wrong. There are a lot of PC players that might have purchased the game. but i dont think it takes up such a big share of the sales as you think.
I bought vanilla and that it all I need to frag some noobs
As for BF3, I meant that you get the social gamer stuff for free.
Thanks for clarifying the gamer stuff.
EVERYONE: CHECK OUT THE UPDATE ON THE FRONT PAGE!
