EVGA GeForce GTX 680 Superclocked Made Official

Only teased last week, EVGA's factory-overclocked GeForce GTX 680s are becoming a reality, with the first one to get make it out being the GTX 680 SuperClocked. The SC model is based around NVIDIA's reference design but has a base clock of 1058 MHz (1006 MHz stock), a boost clock of 1113 MHz (1058 MHz), and a memory frequency of 6208 MHz (6008 MHz).

The GeForce GTX 680 SC also packs 1536 CUDA Cores, a 256-bit memory interface, 2 GB of GDDR5 VRAM, a PCI-Express 3.0 bus interface, 3D Vision Surround and SLI support, and dual-DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs.

The 'vanilla' GTX 680 SuperClocked costs $519.99 while its backplate-equipped sibling goes for $529.99. Both should become available very, very soon.

I agree, they could do better than 52mhz. While I'm sure it OC's fine manually, some people just don't do it themselves. Then again, eVga has to keep things in line for the SSC and FTW editions.

phanbueyyour right... so by your logic, if we downclock a 7950 to gtx 580 clocks, it would be slower so therefore the 580 is the faster card.
Obviously you paid attention in class.

Clock speed has a lot to do with performance for some reason.

"GTX580 clocked at 770 mhz and hd6970 880mhz ? R u comparing much different technology's by clock??h

so if we rising up gtx580 clock in last gen to 6970 clock amd go to hell bro W T F

with much lower voltage in GTX680 you can reach to 1300~1400mhz and then the tahiti go to something LIKe piece of trash bro

hd7970 has 4.3 billion transistor and GK104 just about 3.5 billion - most efficient gpu ever built

if you wanna real comparing to this baby- so w8 for GK110/100

UASs = Acronym( ultra amd stupid servants) doing like this brother .im sorry about this but this forum where overfilled amd fans in all ways-

we let them up -haters gonna surrender "

I really don't know what to say to this other than please learn to type.

I hear the GK100 is not coming out before we get another ultra stupid amd servants'ssssssss card lineup out. But then again, this card is already three months late. I just want competition so consumers win, my next card will whatever plays GTA5 at high settings for the least money.

4.3 billion transistors or 4, performance for price is what really matters.

I understand the holes on the backplate are there for heat to escape, but all I can do is picture all of them getting full of dust and trapping heat in instead, and maybe even getting trapped under the backplate hugging your PCB, along with looking like sh*t when you open your case or looking through a windowed side panel to see a dirty card. And the extra work cleaning it out of course = PITA. The screws make it look bad IMO. I want a backplate, but not this one. Don't care if its free.

This or the signature card with the increased VRM count will be the 680 I get!
LAN_deRf_HAAdd a high flow bracket and double the memory and I might buy it on liquidation.
