They'll be business partners. Pegatron will manufacture things for ASUSTek as a foundry. Pegatron's ASRock motherboard brand already competes with ASUS motherboard brand in all market segments.

it isn't false man when parts only sold to asus are found on asrock boards, as well as the buying power of asus for chipsets is also provided to asrock who buys less than other manufacturers but also pays as much as if they bought 50X more.

IMO i thought it was wierd that ASRock is switching to using the INtersil ISL6367 which is a VRD12/12.5 certified analog PWM compared to that awesome 8 phase digital CHil PWM they got from asus. I thought that was really weird, however maybe the intersil is much cheaper since gigabyte dropped them.
