Cooler Master introduces new CPU cooler lineup

Cooler Master introduced a few new CPU coolers this week. Three of them to be exact: Mars, Eclipse & Hyper TX.
The Mars is a round cooler with a fan encased in the middle. It is meant for AM2 or Core 2 Duo. The Eclipse features a completely new design, with the fan in the center of the cooler, with it blowing out like a turbine and last but not least - the Hyper TX series, which looks more like a standard tower type cooler. All three have multiple heatpipes. Their noise level will be around 17-24dbA.

not bad, i like the Mars one though, that looks pretty cool. Now we will just wait to see the performace specs of these coolers compared to other high-end coolers

They're definitely starting to think out of the box. They're pretty awkward but I like them.

the mars one (i think, the one that is inside out compared to usual heatsinks) might be really really ridiculously awesome for keeping system temps down if you have a duct

s'all i'm saying, all the hot air, phooof right outta there

where does this mars one get cool air from? imo it turns the hot air from the heatpipes just around and blows it to other components

actually that could work well, the fan should suck the heat from the lower parts of the heatsink to the upper parts to then be disappated into the air, just an idea tho :D

I have never liked coolermaster. I bought a HSF to go on my old XP 3000+, it never did cool worth a shit. It does good on a 2200+ though.

The marketeers have the sheep figured out pretty well. Next thing ya know they'll be selling Pet Rocks and canned sunshine. God people are so gullible.

No accounting for taste (and that's not meant ot be an insult)... I think they look totally mix between retro and new-age. The Mars version is sexy, and yes, I'm actually Austin Powers, my mojo is flowing when I see these.

The most important thing (as most mention) is mojo performance... many motherboards rely on the airflow from the CPU fan to cool them off - the question is if they do that well. Yea, baby!

Taste is personal. I am glad it is. Don't like Austin Powers either.

Love the Eclipse, the air flow would be awesome for a out-of-the-case OC setup!

Heaksinks cant stay square forever, but the fans are square and rarely round..
