ATI releases Catalyst drivers for Windows Vista to manufacturers

The Inquirer has gotten a hold of the RTM, or Release To Manufacturers, version of ATI Catalyst for Windows Vista. This means that this driver version is the one that big OEM's like Dell, Gateway, and HP will use in the computers they build. Overall, the drivers take 90MB, and the catalyst suite takes 150MB. That means that the catalyst download is 240MB. ATI Catalyst for Windows Vista looks almost exactly like it does in XP, including overdrive. ATI Catalyst for Windows Vista also has a new feature. It now has an auto-update option, which will automatically search for new drivers based on your card type, and ask you if you want to install them. The only issues with ATI Catalyst for Vista are the usual slow start times of ATI Catalyst, as well as the lack of a 3D preview for setting changes.
