DeepCool Intros GamerStorm Captain 240 White CPU Cooler

DeepCool announced a new white variant of its GamerStorm Captain 240 all-in-one liquid cooler. Replacing the original's red+black 2-tone scheme, the Captain 240 White features matte white on the pump+block the fans, and the insides of the fan frames. The rest of the cooler, including the interesting loop on the pump+block, comes in black. Red makes way for white with the LED "bionic" lighting inside the block. The rest of its specifications are the same. DeepCool didn't reveal pricing or availability.

Is the pump unit actually any stronger than others or just a flashy sci-fi housing and same tiny unit inside?

It's their way of avoiding the wrath of asetek. With this design they don't infringe on patents, so they don't get sued/have to pay licensing fees.

Or at least I thought so.

... okay then. Interesting design. Likely avoiding licensing fees, as others have said. I guess being fugly as sin is just a natural byproduct of that process.

This has been their design solution for some time. Unlike looks, it doesn't really boost the productivity, at least not in their previous versions. Definitely a different look though, for those who needed it.

I actually kinda like these AIO's, they look really different in a good way and have a design that screams performance even if its just a standard AIO. I like that they also now have it in white as that is going to win some people over just so they could do a white and black build.

Would have been funny if they made the pump look like washer/dryer.

they already have these out .. you can find reviews on them .. i think TP did one.

Only thing new for this one is it is white.

I own the deepcool captain 360 and it works very very well .. did better then the Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate (returned the thermaltake )

However all that bing said. I plan on switching to the EK-XLC Predator 360 in A few months and I don't see why anyone would not buy anything other then the Predator 360/240

Yeah I'm eyeing Predator 240 too, its from my country and I would support them just because of that also its a very fine product, but the price is a bit so so.. :)

I have H90 atm, nothing wrong with it.. It preforms quite well, better then I expected, but I want that tiny extra bit power, 4770K @ 4.7Ghz 1.284v is on its limits :D
