Team Group Announces the T151 USB Flash Drive

Team Group, the world's leading memory brand, today launched its newest extreme lightweight flash drive, T151. Being the most compact soft rubber USB drive in the industry, you are able to carry it around wherever you go since it is as small and lightweight as a coin, and it is also easy to open/close the cap or use it one handed. Besides the advantage of being able to use it conveniently with one hand, now all your important data is at the grasp of your fingertips.

T151's design is inspired by the surface tension of water droplets. Its sleek sides make it even more eye catching for consumers. In addition, T151 is exclusively using TPR soft rubber material and COB (Chip On Board) assembly process to offer waterproof, dust proof and shockproof protection. It avoids data corruption or data loss which caused by external forces during the operation. It provides an all-around protection to every moment of your precious memory. T151's cleverly designed bead chain and hangtag not only allow you to match and hang it on your personal belongings, you can also hide the hangtag inside the cap. The smart design of the hangtag and the USB drive cap can prevent the problem of losing or misplacing the cap.
As for the color, T151 is using calm gray and blue to highlight by contrast the premium feel of this stylish micro device. We offer four memory capacities: 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB for consumers to choose from based on their needs. Consumers are now able to enjoy the freedom of saving their important data without any hassle.

yet still many people buy USB2, those people just think "I need a cheap USB stick" , they don't look for USB2 or 3.
I personally would not buy USB2 sticks anymore (still have a few though).

The high street hasn't heard of USB3, try buying a USB3 drive in a shop (as oppose to online) in the UK.

Surface, droplet, tension, shut up.

Just because you're on your bike on a highway won't make your bike reach 70 mph. Likewise, making a USB key USB 3.0 doesn't make it necessarily fast.

Some people use old pcs/laptops that don't have usb 3 ports. usb 2 sticks shouldn't disappear just because someone screams "I want usb 3, kill usb 2!!!!"

USB 3.0 is fully compatible with USB 2.0 and vice versa, meaning you can use a USB 2.0 device on a USB 3.0 port and it'll work. Same with a USB 3.0 device on a USB 2.0 port. The only limitation I've run into so far was a an old laptop that couldn't boot on the USB 3.0 key. That said, you could read and write stuff on said key from the laptop. In fact, that issue I ran into could've been caused by something different (like, a buggy BIOS).

I'm not talking about backward compatibility, everybody knows that. I'm talking about price. If someone has old computer there's no need to buy more expensive usb 3 stick if they can get usb 2 for lower price.

Seeing as a lot of manufacturers make their cheap keys USB 3.0 to get more sales (while said keys still have really low speeds), this isn't that much of an issue.

There are some things that you can only do with a USB2.0 drive that you can not do with a USB3.0 drive. Like easily install Windows 7. Use a USB2.0 drive and there's no problem, use a USB3.0 drive and it is highly likely you will get an error.

And really, for what most people use USB Flash Drives for, they won't even notice the difference between a cheap USB3.0 and cheap USB2.0.

I'm wondering if that's not due to crappy USB 3.0 chipsets. I know that Etron sucks, for instance.

If you try to install win 7 using a 2.0 device in a 3.0 port you will run into driver issues. I have one USB 3.0 drive that I use for files. Everything else I have is 2.0.
