Sony to Launch Video Download Service for PSP

Sony will offer a video download service in the first quarter of 2007 for its PlayStation Portable (PSP) game device, the Financial Times reported in its online edition. The scheme involves downloading video content to a PC for one-time transfer to a PSP. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment developed the service to work with Sony's memory stick storage platform, the report said. A 4Gb Sony memory stick has the capacity to store 10 feature films. Sony is also negotiating with vendors like Amazon.com, Movielink and CinemaNow to provide the new service.

Yep, PSPvideo9 is a great little program. And since the screen on the PSP is so small you can get away with very low bitrates and 15FPS and still get a reasonably watchable full length movie in a very small size.

aye, I've been using PSP Video 9 this week to convert all my DVDs into MPEG-4 files. I decided on the AVC 368x208/29.97FPS/256KPS Stereo/96KPS setting as the best compromise between quality and file size - 2 hours = 300MB (for widescreen anyway)

4gb stick arrives Thursday :)

Well I can't really say anything about that, I spend $50 on a G7, and I love the mouse, and another $50 on a G15, which I also love. However, all the Razer products are a complete rip off.

Having used a 2000DPI mouse, it is very very hard to use anything lower as my main mouse. In fact I had to go out and buy a G7 for my work machine just because I couldn't stand the lower DPI of the current mouse.
