AMD Announces Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition
AMD today announced the brand title of its 2017-yearender driver release, Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition, which is named after the Adrenalin Rose. Scheduled to release some time in mid-December, under version number 17.12 WHQL, the drivers are expected to introduce performance enhancements across the board for GPUs based on the "Polaris" and "Vega" graphics architectures (Radeon RX 400 series, RX 500 series, and RX Vega series), while introducing new features.
AMD today posted a video presentation announcing the new drivers.

Think about the people who bought the first Kepler Titan , yeah...
It isn't clear if "cache" mode used on Vega could be used with Fury.
same as vega (memory voltage control) ?
I don't see anything less on the fury than vega, polaris have extra's though.
grass ain't greener on the other side.
Memory improvements for high memory usage scenarios improving performance up to 10%*
One may see that in an nvidia driver and see 25% performance loss on a GTX970 which is one of the most sold cards and then it never ever gets fixed again so you're stuck at a 375 driver or something never getting anything again.
Depends on the system, some only play CS and never notice it and is perfectly happy while others play newer titles at 1440P and have to go down to low on settings while a RX480 does high...( they're equally fast really!)
I ain't saying nvidia is particularly bad but being in both camps I cannot say under Windows life is easier, worse and what not with either brand because I simply have issues with Both.
It's just... different issues.
Conclusion is just buy what gives bang for the buck, have either AIB or reference card that you're fine with hardware wise.
and think a year in advance(Future game tech, performs well in new engines) and it should be a decent buy regardless of brand cause both camps will upset you eventually.
My take on the topic with now 110+ gpu ownerships behind me with roughly 50\50 split between the camps. :)
And yes Adrenalin is the Name, and not Redux as the link in my previous post said.. So that's one thing narrowed down but the rest is meaningless to me without a Source..
This isn't News, actual news has sources and facts to back it up..
Im on a 290. Go ahead and switch, no one is stopping you from doing it.
I can set target and max on temp which I couldn't on a fury which I can with Vega (at least on the bios I use)
Polaris can actually set memory voltage but fury\Vega cannot.
Name something that's actually missing as I fail to recall anything missing :P
And wattman IS overdrive in new skin.
Again driver compare the optimizing at the start of this years to the end.
I prefere the video with Ruby's :(

(the previous SEC 10K for 2016: 45.11%, so essentially the same)

AMD Marketing as Percentage of R&D: 45.63%

If you do have issues, report them.
What gave that impression? All GCN cards support ReLive. Adrenaline is similar. It's a software/feature update. The only cards that have fallen off the RADAR are HD 6### and older.
I have reported this twice now with no response. Then again overwatch has been broken several months now. Not keeping any hope AMD may actually address these issues Supported, yes
Actively optimized, no
AMD stopped Fiji specific optimization right after Polaris launch. So it only enjoyed less than a year of high priority optimization.
Of course the excuses are AMD has very limited resource. So fellow FuryX owners just suck it up and move on.
I won't be surprised if that screen GPU utility overlay feature won't come to older cards either.
