But it's adequate tho I finished yesterday boxing up 300 - 450W be quiet Power supplies that were exchanged against an competitor from ... yes US.^^
My yearly Family and Friends Computer Service Exchange program finally finished. :slap:
For the bored:
Switched half of em to Platinum grade and >=750W, especially with the specialists who changed to 1080Ti.
Improves their P-state memory overclocking buginess, 450W are too low for whatever reason, didn't find any peaks nearing the limit within 100W on scope. :wtf:
From 11 pcs all were still functional after 4-5 years and only 1 had some strange 12V stability issues above ~50% load.
Noise was still okay.
Efficiency Grade seemed to be still around their 230V ratings but no measurement, compared the power draw to the new ones.
They will likely end up as spare parts for 3d printers etc.
Had to many issues with PS after 6-8y, doesn't matter if they were rated for 10 yrs or not. :kookoo:
Anyway, good luck for all participants, this is really top quality hardware you can win.
Calm down...
1 giveaway goes US / NA only and you lose your damn minds.
So out of the last 5 damn giveaways i could easily find on TPU 4 / 5 were available world wide on it multiple regions. Manufacturer picks the regions and lets face facts usually giveaways are to promote brand awareness in the hopes of increased sales. Be Quiet might be looking to increase there presence in the US / NA market. Just a hunch.
ADATA giveaway in December was world wide
Nerdytec giveaway in December (US / NA / EU / AU)
Reeven giveaway in January was world wide
Cryorig giveaway in August was world wide
You could easily burn 10x times the worth of the equipment just for the regulatory efforts.
For Germany it seems to be § 4 Nr. 5 UWG which has some differences to the EU Version.
So a lot of funny stuff to check for a simple world wide give away and cause that companies tend do that regionally ;)
