NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080, 2070, and 2080 Ti Specifications Revealed

(Update 1: NVIDIA at its Koln event also revealed that these graphics cards were made for overclocking, with highly-improved power regulation and management systems designed just for that purpose. Jensen Huang himself added that these new graphics cards, with their dual 13-blade radial fan design, work at one fifth the audio levels of a previous-gen GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

With product pages and pricing of the GeForce RTX 2080, RTX 2070, and the RTX 2080 Ti going up ahead of formal unveiling. The RTX 2080 leads the pack with 2944 CUDA cores, 1515 MHz GPU clocks, 1710 MHz boost, and 14 Gbps memory; while the RTX 2070 is equipped with 2304 CUDA cores, 1410 MHz GPU clocks, 1620 MHz boost, and an unchanged 14 Gbps GDDR6 memory. The RTX 2080 Ti leads the pack with 4352 CUDA cores, 1350 MHz core, 1545 MHz boost, and 14 Gbps memory, but a wider 352-bit memory interface.

It's faster in RTX which means nothing for 100% of games out there except for the four announced ones which are not even in a beta stage. Nothing is known about the old-school graphics at this point. Reviewers are just receiving the cards. And the RTX 2070 at $500 does sound terrible considering the pricing of the previous generations of NVIDIA cards. NVIDIA has no one to compete with and it shows. At this point I would cease all the debates and wait for reviews to come in.

@W1zzard When will reviews be released? Or even this date is under NDA? ;-)

If the 2070 beats the 1080Ti in performance, then $500 is a good price, you just want shit for free.

260W for the 2080 Ti FE, 250W for the 2080 Ti "vanilla"
215 W for the 2080 vanilla, 225 W for the 2080 FE.
185 W for the 2070 vanilla and 175 W for the 2070 FE, but Nvidia probably mixed the numbers for this one.

The Founders Edition of every card have slightly higher boost clocks for the GPU.

Curiously, the 2080 FE has a USB Type-C port, which the vanilla version doesn't have, while both 2070s have it.

Interesting, so RTX 2070 has about the same power consumption as GTX 1080. If we pretend the 27w is baked into that figure, the efficiency gains are minimal at best, nonexistent at worst.

If you check my post history you will see I am usually friendly to nvidia and friendly to Intel. I am pretty tough on AMD. Speaking from that perspective, this seems a bad day for nvidia and a door opening for AMD. These prices suck, the advancement is lame, it is basically a 10-15% gain with a new feature advancement in ray tracing.

If rtx 2070 would be similar in performance to gtx 1080 , after waiting almost 3 years , i would be dissipointed , and that price , almost the price of gtx 1080 at launch , after 3 years , the same amount of gddr , 12 nm manufacture proccess , almost the same tdp .

I hope so . Since that's what happens when there is no real competition . Similar story to intel and amd proccessors. If zen wouldnt happenend i think intel would still stick to 4 core 8 threads in mainstream .

If you check the figures, it seems like it should be between the 1080 and the 1080Ti without RT, maybe closer to the GTX 1080. And after DX12, who the heck knows if RT will be widespread among games. Performance wise it doesn't seem good at all.

Yup. AMD has a real opportunity here to leap forward on raw gaming performance and let the RTX nonsense pass them by entirely, instead of choosing to embrace it and implement it in a crappy way.

That headroom can make their current tech competitive again. And they have TONS of room to play with price now.

I hope so . I am not a fan of any company , be it amd or nvidia, but lack of competition is bad for every consumer unfortunetly . Since currently i have gtx 1070 , and i think it's a very good card .But these prices are really something that starts to bother me a little , especially after such long wait for the new generation , and i doubt rtx 2070 will be close to gtx 1080 ti , probably in gtx 1080 level .
So for now i will wait with card upgrade . What is more concerning is rtx 2080 ti price , 999 , gtx 1080 ti was initially for 699 $, so basically it's almost 50 % more expensive , the flagship card i mean.

AMD already has Radeon Rays but they're not implementing hardware specifically to accelerate it like NVIDIA did.
