EA Looking Into Remastering Command & Conquer Series of Videogames
The RTS genre on PC has been left a little out in the cold in recent years; there are still some releases here and there, but the genre that was once the king of PC gaming has taken a dive in popularity. One series that was held in great regard by fans was Command & Conquer, which spanned a multitude of games (including a one-off FPS game in the form of Command & Conquer: Renegade) in both the Red Alert, Generals, and Tiberium universes.
No further work on the series occurred after the release of Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight, designed to be the finale for that particular universe. The much-changed gameplay, which incorporated MOBA-style elements and more mobile armies instead of the usual static base-building, threw fans of the series off (not to mention the story). The series has since been relegated to mobile or browser gaming, but the pressure on EA to deliver another RTS game on the C&C universe has been mounting. The first step, according to EA Games' Jim Vessella, is celebrating the series' 25-year Anniversary, on which work is already going - apparently through remasters, since Vessella himself says that "we [EA] have been exploring some exciting ideas regarding remastering the classic PC games." That's not a bad idea, granted, and makes business sense - but we're still expecting a new installment, EA.

I love C&C series to death and dont want EA's filthy hands on it, but would be nice to have a fresh coat of paint over Generals and RA2
The only way I want a new C&C game is if EA assembles the original Westwood folks and EA keeps their dirty paws off of it. In other words it's never gonna happen .
C&C is dead and gone so stop dragging out its corspe and shit all over it and sell the rights of the franchise to Petroglyph as many of us would much rather have them work on C&C
EA has still not been forgiven for C&C 4 in my book and they never will be so F off EA and leave C&C alone
C&C 4 was the last game i bought from EA after that they got on my boycott list and that was 2010 so its been 8 years of no EA and its been great
We all know they are going to stuff microtransactions lootboxes and lots of other crap in their so called remaster and do everything human possible to ruin C&C all over again
At this rate only Indies and Japanese studios will make decent videogames.
Petroglyph has made Star Wars Empire of War a great game i still play even to this day with mods, they later made Universe At War Earth Assault which i think was an okey game
The last game that i play made by Petroglyph was Grey Goo a really fun game that reminds me a lot of the old school C&C games in many ways
Frank Klepacki had made the soundtrack for Grey Goo so thats another plus, Frank Klepacki for those that dont know made the soundtrack for many of the early C&C games
Feel free to check out Grey Goo if you like a game a lot like C&C but not made by cancer EA
Tiberium Wars was the only one true to TibSun, fight me !
P.S. Kane would be pleased to reprise his role.
That and bring back Sole Survivor, add some modern touches, maybe make it a little more complex...but really that was a fun game for the year and change I was able to play it. Was the game that got me into multiplayer actually. :D
I think they're testing the waters for a new Command & Conquer game (maybe whether or not it is worth investing in finishing Generals 2).
