Oblivion never coming to Wii
Bethesda studios announced that as much as they'd love to see Elder Scrolls IV- Oblivion, it will never find itself there. The Nintendo Wii simply doesn't have enough power to run the very demanding game. Of course, this doesn't explain how they managed to stick Oblivion on the PSP, which is essentially a much smaller version of the PS2.

Oblivion is just one of those games which does work best as a PC game.
This is ontop of the PSP's 25ms screen wich has more ghosting than actuall gaming.
Luckily racing games dont suffer much from ghosting and Burnout Legends has the bst controls of any racing game ive seen, and i play it 5 hours a day (now that ive finished it). Well, the PSP isnt getting a full version of the game. Its only getting a much smaller port, although that hasnt been confirmed yet. The game is 2 months from release and we havnt even seen a screenshot..
But u cant compare a console to a portable anyway. The PSP has the most amazing graphics ever in the portable market and its in the same generation as the PS3 and Xbox 360. Portable graphics are always going to be less than consoles and ppl understand and accept that. So while i respect the PSP as having amazing graphics i cannot respect the Wii because even though it has a graphics wich are a little better, people expect a lot more out of it because its a console. Personally, i think the Wii is a slap in the face to all of us Nintendo FanBoys and im not going to buy it.
Some games work better with a keyboard and mouse, some work better with a console controller (which you can admittedly get for a PC). And I don't know what I hate more - fanboys that spend their lives defending a company or fanboys that spend their lives attacking one.
Its probably the fact that the Xbox 360 developers kit takes normal code and translates it? the 360 isnt that far off from a pc. More than the first xbox, but look at how the halo port turned out. I'd say they did a great job. wow. you play your psp for 5 hours a day?
Give this man a COOKIE!
As for not suffering ghosting, I beg to differ. Racing games are amoung the worst.
(like the pun? :p )
and oblivion on the wii:laugh:
anyway if you want to play games like oblivion, gears of wars, lost planet, you dont get a wii for that, wii is for back to basics gaming, clean simple and fun.
The PSP is potentially more powerfull than the PS2..
Logic would have it that the PSP would have slightly less eye candy.
If ur saying that u cant SEE the eye candy on the PSP, well thats because its only running at 2/3 of it's power to conserve battery life.. it has been doing so for 2 years now and every title has only had that much to work with..
So in all, i guess the PSP at this point is about as powerfull as the DreamCast.
You cant play every title with a Wii-mote. You can only play a few mini-games and maybe a bad console FPS with it. The Wii-mote begs to bring more reality to game mechanics, but how is flying a plane the same as holding a remote? The gamepads at least dont try to become what they are controlling and controlling a game with the Wii-mote is not fun because there is almost no precision, meaning that the only place where u could actually use it for real and not get frustrated is again, in a mini-game and those are the only games that are selling right now.. and the only ones to get good reviews.

If the Wii is as powerful as the xbox, and the PSP has /slightly/ less visuals, DAMN, wheres all that power coming from? Steroids?
The PSP doesnt even have an MMU.
