EK Water Blocks Releases EK-Vector Series Water Blocks for AMD Radeon VII
EK Water Blocks, the leading premium computer liquid cooling gear manufacturer, is releasing EK-Vector Radeon VII water blocks that are compatible with reference design AMD Radeon VII graphics cards. This kind of efficient cooling will allow your high-end graphics card to reach higher boost clocks, thus providing more overclocking headroom and more performance during gaming or other GPU intense tasks.
This water block directly cools the GPU, 16GB of HBM2 memory, and VRM (voltage regulation module) as cooling liquid is channeled directly over these critical areas. These newly developed water blocks feature a redesigned cooling engine that has a larger footprint compared to the previous generation of EK Full Cover water blocks. This results in a larger surface area for heat transfer which increases the thermal performance of these water blocks. The base of the block is made of high-grade copper or nickel-plated electrolytic copper while the top is made of high-quality acrylic material or POM Acetal material (depending on the variant). The front aesthetic corner piece is lit up with LED strip (in RGB variants). The top material does not affect the block performance in any way. The block also features a special plastic cover over the block Terminal. This add-on is designed to reveal the graphics card model, visible from the side. Sealing is ensured by high-quality EPDM O-Rings. The brass standoffs are already pre-installed and allow for a safe and easy installation procedure.
The EK-Vector Radeon VII water blocks are compatible with popular RGB sync technologies from all major motherboard manufacturers since it features a classic 4-pin 12V RGB LED strip.
The EK-Vector Radeon VII water blocks are compatible with the reference design Radeon VII graphics cards.
Liquid cooling your Radeon VII GPU will allow you to overclock it to the maximum clock allowed by the card and reach 10-20% better results depending on workload or game you're playing. Even while overclocked your card will reach far lower temperatures and less noise than factory clocked with air cooling ensuring an even longer lifespan of the card.
Availability and pricing
The EK-Vector Radeon VII water blocks and backplates are made in Slovenia, Europe and are available for pre-order through the EK Webshop or EK Partner Reseller Network. EK-Vector Radeon VII water blocks and backplates will start shipping Monday, 1st of April 2019.

I measured the GPU on mine and determined it was very near perfectly flat. I should have pulled out my micrometer set, then I could measure with 0.00005" (0.00127mm) accuracy... maybe next time.
The Bykski base was also very flat and had a visible, very fine, texture that I couldn't feel with a needle. I wish pressure indicator paper was easier to find. Would be very helpful.. do a dry fit and know just how the contact patch is going to be.
I literally fixed mine with a hacksaw. Copper is soft. It took like 20 minutes. I also drilled out the original bracket for the bigger screws so there would be more pressure in the middle of the package.

Now I am back to my favourite brand for GPU water blocks.
I have now ordered EK-Vector. :D
According to EKWB this should start shipping on 01.04. Let's hope this date is accurate. I have ordered nickel block and the black backplate.

EK-Vector Radeon VII Backplate - Black:

Hopefully EK will send these next Monday.
Please EK don't shift delivery date like Alphacool did. o_O
I will upload some photos of the build and add some benchmarks in the Radeon VII owner's thread after I receive this.
I Pre-ordered this water block on 28.03 and it has already shipped on 29.03.
Official website says it's on Pre-Order starts shipping on 01.04.
Thanks EKWB for fast processing of my order.
Good that I cancelled Alphacool order. They shifted delivery by three weeks to around third week of April.
I paid more for EKWB but I don't have quality concerns.
EK did not disappoint me so far in the past with the quality of their water blocks. :toast:
I never had water block from Alphacool so don't know their quality but I own a few fitting from them, but their quality is not as good as the EKWB fitting that I own also.
The build will follow soon in the next days.
I am little bit upset with EK.
They did not include installation instructions neither for block nor for backplate.
I have to download copies for both from their website and print them myself.
This is not very proffesional from EK in my view. :shadedshu:
I have been using in the past many blocks and other components from them. They used to include the instruction in the package.
More information is added to The Vega VII Owners Club thread.
