Leaked 3DMark Time Spy Result shows Radeon RX 5700 XT matching GeForce RTX 2070
Reviewers should have received their Radeon "Navi" review samples by now, so it's just natural that the number of leaks is increasing. WCCFTech has spotted one such leak in the 3DMark Time Spy database. The card which is just labeled "Generic VGA" achieved a final score of 8575 points, GPU score of 8719 and 7843 CPU points, which is almost identical to WCCFTech's own comparison benchmarks for the GeForce RTX 2070 Founders Edition (8901). The Vega 64 scored 7427, which leads WCCFTech to believe this must be Radeon RX 5700 XT. The result has since been removed from the 3DMark database, which also suggests it's for an unreleased product.

What does that even mean?
EDIT: I mean, damn them for responding and dropping prices and not having a new gen ready to respond right now! Lolol
But what does that have to do with this thread about AMDs new gpu?
And here we are calling a $599 RTX 2080 SUPER an impossible move in 2019.
Its ridiculous, really. This is why my excitement over Turing AND the refresh is just about - 200. The fact remains that the only noteworthy cards are actually the AMD cards that got price slashed into the ground, and the RTX 2060. The rest is a straight up ripoff and Navi is looking to be another baby step way past expiry date. Cheers :) It ain't photoshop though its an actual piece of art on Canvas I have here I kid you not. Took a pic of it
@Vayra86 I like you new avatar, maybe put a mirror in the other hand? ;)
MEANWHILE people complain about AMD prices and yet, they tried to undercut NV but... people still didn't buy their cards. You have a shitty card like the 1050ti vastly outselling the superior 570. AMD has been practically giving them away ($120-ish with 2 games) but 1050ti still has a pretty large lead (at least according to steam analytics). AMD is in a real difficult position, and I wish they would release product cycle closer to NV. Say these new cards came out last year, or in Jan of this year, they could have capitalized on the 'space invaders' fiasco and maybe converted some disgruntled NV customers... instead we have cards that, while good, are too late to the party. People already have their 2060/2070s etc. I wonder if AMD couldn't do a 'trade in' program, where a person could trade in their current gen nv card for a discount/credit towards an AMD card. I don't know what they can actually do to gain some real marketshare when faced with competition owning 3/4ths the market. I'm sure someone would say 'build better cards' but that costs $$ and being a little fish, AMD just doesn't have the budget to fight against both intel and NV.
Pre-release leaks: matches 2070.
Reviews after release: ???
@nemesis.ie I'd guess many of those are laptop parts.
Time will tell.
I also really want to see a comparison of IQ with the radeon sharpening vs DLSS vs stock and the associated FPS/frame times etc.
I want to buy (or not) a package of performance and features based on my monitors refresh rate. i.e. what works for my use case not "absolute fastest" or "absolute IQ" necessarily. But fastest for my needs with the best IQ at an acceptable speed.
1050Ti = 9.91%
570 = 0.45%
1060 = 16.30%
580 =1.25%
Those two AMD cards are equal to or better than their counterparts, yet the marketshare disparity is massive. And now you have situations like today, where NV controlling most of the market, can set the price however high they want b/c people just keep buying NV no matter what.
AMD the next graphics cards will perform as good as Nvida.
Talks up the cards
Then they are released....

Try to find Vega towards the bottom of that list, then compare with GTX 1070/1080 and you'll see the same thing.
The explanation is very simple; when you have option A and B, which performs similarly, are priced similarly, but B have other major disadvantages (like heat, noise etc.), why would anyone choose B? Back in the "Kepler days", 1st gen GCN competed fairly well, and even for those models which didn't quite match Nvidia on performance, they usually offered some other advantage, like price, lower heat, etc. Back then AMD sold a solid portion of cards in the upper mid-range and high-end (or at least close to). In the recent years, Vega's market share have been so low that it some months don't even register on the Steam hardware survey, and most of the GPUs AMD are selling are low-end OEM cards or APUs.
Also, when looking at Steam HW Survey results or any general statistics like that, keep in mind that GTX1050Ti is popular in laptops as well as with OEMs where neither RX560 or RX570 has not been able to compete very well. The difference does not come from sales today and the majority is probably not from AIB sales.
Edit: ...well they show 9 series... not 10... odd.
