PlayStation Exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition Hitting PC in Summer 2020

A Steam page store has appeared for Guerrilla Games' PlayStation exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn. If you haven't played this game yet, I'll assume you don't have a PlayStation; and if so, boy: are you in for a treat. Horizon Zero Dawn has you playing as Aloy, a native to this alternate reality where dinosaur-like machines have taken over the wilds. As you expand on the story and go on to discover the secrets to this world - and to humanity's downfall - you'll travel across a seamless, richly-detailed open-world experience that rivals The Witcher III: Wild Hunt.

Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition will feature both the base game and its The Frozen Wilds Expansion, which adds dozens of hours, new equipment, new lands, skills, and Machines for you to hunt. This looks like Sony's way (and continued efforts) to show you, years later, what you've been missing out on in the PlayStation platform, and I bet Sony's wishing these exclusive games hitting the PC will give you the PlayStation 5 hitch. Now if only the same happened for the incredible God of War...
EARTH IS OURS NO MORE
Experience Aloy's entire legendary quest to unravel the mysteries of a world ruled by deadly Machines.

An outcast from her tribe, the young hunter fights to uncover her past, discover her destiny… and stop a catastrophic threat to the future.

Unleash devastating, tactical attacks against unique Machines and rival tribes as you explore an open wold teeming with wildlife and danger.

Horizon Zero Dawn is a multi-award-winning action role-playing game - and this Complete Edition for PC includes the huge expansion The Frozen Wilds, featuring new lands, skills, weapons and Machines.

Already added to my wishlist. There are probably only a handful of PS exclusives that I really wanted to play and this was at the top of that list.

Not sure what their long term goal with such moves is, hopefully this is the beginning of modernization and ditching archaic exclusivity based model in favor of availability, but regardless any console exclusive releasing as an actual game is good, no matter how late. On PC games do not expire.

Same. They've already ported a few. I know it's "cool" to hate EGS but I've played Journey, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human on there. Also played Flower on Steam. Of course, we're getting Death Stranding soon and they already brought MGSV some time ago. I'm still hoping for God of War (like Raven said), Spiderman, The Last of Us and Uncharted series at some point. I don't mind waiting a few years for a quality title.

Very curious to see how it will perform on PC. It was already an incredible looking game on PS4.

Can’t wait, have been watching a playthrough on youtube and was instantly hooked. Was prepared to buy a PS5 and buy this game, so glad it’s coming to PC. Now if they release Last of Us and God War 4 to PC I’m set. Also can’t wait for Detroit Become Human on PC. So many great PS titles.

I want to play the Last of Us on pc at 4K with ray tracing. They should also port the entire Uncharted series too.

fina-F-ingly! (self censoring)

waited on that one more than Halo collection, which was on a console that i did own ... so i did play most of the series already (well on Pc i would still play them with the same controller that i did use with the consoles )

it save me the cost of one PS4/4Pro and a Nacon controller (the one with the same stick and button layout as a Xbox controller) or the cost for PS Now services (nope nope nope from nopeland ... streaming games is not my teacup and will never be ) furthermore that their "highly recommended" controller is a DualShock4 ...

I've played it on PS4.
Stunning visuals given console's hardware, a masterpiece, cool, but repetitive gameplay, meh story, and a good deal of SJW pandering. You absolutely need to know with whom raondom meaningless dead person would want to have sex with. Matriarchy is extremely cool and progressive. At some point it got soo boring I started skipping the dialogs. Protagonist is a flawless angel, cause why make any effort to add some depth, instead, let's spend as much time as possible covering her skin, because got forbid someone will find pixels on the screen sexually attractive.

Overall, ok-ish experience.

Once HZD2 comes out, I won't rush to buy it, would still get it when discounted, though.

Highly doubtful. Sony and a garden without lock and key? Forget it.
