Asus EcoBook - Bamboo integrated into the design
You are bored by the glossy plastic notebooks from Apple or these shiny metal covered laptops which you have to polish everytime you put a finger onto the surface? Then you might be the type of a person who prefers a wooden texture. The people at c|net got the opportunity to play with the Asus EcoBook which you can buy sometime next year. I was really amazed by the details of the wooden panels. These panels are changeable in case they get scratched and of course they are biodegradable.

edit: there changeable which is great :D
is asus starting to make macs?
asus is making bamboo covers for macs....you think they made that laptop...LOLZ.
What was the manufacturing costs of that? vs the mfg costs of current methods?
More importantly what is the heat distribution??
The fact is Bamboo is technically a type of grass.:p
(Yes it is the tallest grass on earth.)
maybe not, but you can at least make the pipe out of it.
Basically cutting down bamboo is just like cutting the grass on your lawn, it just grows back.
However,
those bastards stole my idea!
*see case gallery*
As for a laptop, its not gonna matter much over a full plastic case, but a metal case like a macbook pro might have an impact.
