Asus EcoBook - Bamboo integrated into the design

You are bored by the glossy plastic notebooks from Apple or these shiny metal covered laptops which you have to polish everytime you put a finger onto the surface? Then you might be the type of a person who prefers a wooden texture. The people at c|net got the opportunity to play with the Asus EcoBook which you can buy sometime next year. I was really amazed by the details of the wooden panels. These panels are changeable in case they get scratched and of course they are biodegradable.

Don't worry. Bambo is VERY DURABLE. It isn't going to split or splinter like most woods were are familiar with.

I am not referring to the grass you smoke:respect:

Basically cutting down bamboo is just like cutting the grass on your lawn, it just grows back.

my macbook pro actually has a right click (2 fingers on touch pad+click) and I much prefer it over a secondary button as its easier and faster to use.

However,

those bastards stole my idea!

Those are purty. I wouldnt mind having a wooden case. Now, how about thermals?

Makes no difference. Just design it with half and a brain, and it'll actually out perform a normal case because you can put things where you want it to be.

As for a laptop, its not gonna matter much over a full plastic case, but a metal case like a macbook pro might have an impact.
