NVIDIA Releases GeForce 466.63 Game Ready Drivers

NVIDIA today released the GeForce 466.63 WHQL software. These drivers introduce support for the recently announced GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card, which we reviewed here. The drivers also introduce optimization for "No Man's Sky" DLSS update, NVIDIA Reflex support for "Escape from Tarkov," "Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2," and day-zero optimization for "Chivalry 2." A couple of issues are also fixed. A bug that caused the system to hand when connected to a 4K UHD TV and launching a VR game, has been fixed. 4K @ 120 Hz not being available to machines running GeForce GTX 16-series and 10-series graphics cards, has been fixed. Grab the drivers from the link below.

There are three sixes in that version number, it doesn't bode well. I'm going to skip this version.

How about you be less nonsensical and actually update your drivers?

It gave me a chuckle & 4 others, jokes are subjective, you don't decide what's funny.

That blessed underdog story of redemption from the ashes deserves all the support the PC community can muster. What they persevered through is honestly inspiring, and it's no coincidence studios staying silent and fixing their shit after a fumble is known as "Pulling a Murray"

How they didn't all go bald gives me hope for my hairline.

Installed driver. Seems safe.

Or they could release drivers with E(xtra)LHR, knocking it down to 1/100th instead. That'd be the best.

I think best would be just to do what they say and not mess it up.

Something in this driver release is broken. Immediately after installing this version, one of my machines (two GTX TITANs in SLI) started exhibiting DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION BSODs. After seeing three of these BSODs in the hour that followed the installation of this version (all ocurring during light workload, like browsing the web) – I rolled back to version 466.47. The machine is now stable again.

Others are reporting DPC_WATCHING_VIOLATION BSODs with these drivers on NVIDIA's own forums, too.

Just had my primary system running a 2070 Super do the same thing after installing the update. Looks like I'll roll back too till the next update is out.

Ampere stable here too. Might be summoning the devil on the older cards, however.

I have four machines with NVIDIA GPUs here, one of which contains a 3090 (others have older cards). I rolled back the drivers on all of them, however. I'd rather wait for a stable set of drivers.
